Filter Brushes – 20″ x 8″ Basil

Kockney Koi’s Basil Filter Brushes are suited for both mechanical and biological filtration.

As water passes through a series of brushes in the filtration system, the bristles will catch and filter out suspended solids, whilst also providing an ample surface area where the nitrifying bacteria can colonize and thrive.

Clean the brushes by removing them from the filter, shaking them out and rinsing in pond water..DO NOT use tap water to rinse them, as this will severely to reduce or eliminate the beneficial bacteria which is growing on the brush.
